Born in Biel/Bienne, Switzerland, in 1995.
His first job was as an usher in various cinemas in Biel. After completing his A Levels at a bilingual (German/French) grammar school in Biel, Alan studied Film at Zurich University of the Arts (ZHdK), where he directed fiction films and documentaries.
His goal is to see his films being played in the cinemas he worked at as a youth.
