Elias Jutzet was born in 1992 in the canton of Neuchâtel and grew up on a farm without a television.
Nevertheless, he became fascinated by film. He studied at the ZHdK and graduated with a bachelor's degree in film in 2020. In the same year, he won the Young Talent Award at the Deutscher Kamerapreis (German Camera Award) for his editing work on the short film “Cru” by David Oesch.

From 2022 to 2025 he completed a Master's degree in Film Editing, between Geneva, Lausanne and Zurich. In spring 2025, he was awarded the Alexis Victor Thalberg Documentary Film Prize.
