Silvia Gabriel, born in 1980 in Nidwalden, completed teacher training in Rickenbach (SZ) and studied Germanistik in Fribourg. After several primary school positions, she earned a BA in Translation at the Zurich University of Applied Sciences (ZHAW) Winterthur.
From 2013 to 2015, three of her plays were staged under the direction of Andrej Togni. In 2025, she will complete her MA in Screenwriting at Zurich University of the Arts with her graduation script „EDEN".
She lives in Bern and works at a women's shelter alongside her writing.
