Nino Michel grew up in Monte, a little village in the Italian speaking part of Switzerland. In 2008 at the age of 17 he moved to Bern. There he finished the Waldorf School and in 2012 he obtained the Bilingual Matura. After various activities in the film sector, he worked for 3 years as a B cameramen, camera assistent, electrician and vfx artist in the film company Trinipix GmbH in Bern.
In 2015, Nino started to study Film at the University of the Arts in Zürich, where he has been working on several short films as a Director of Photography.
In addition to his studies, Nino worked as a cinematographer, gaffer and electrician for commercials, music videos and short features films.
In 2020 he obtained the Bachelor of the Arts in Film with a major in Cinematography.
Since summer 2020 Nino has been working as a freelance cameraman, electrician and colorist.
