Alice wants to study photography in Paris and is waiting for her acceptance letter from the arts college. Werner, her father, doesn’t think much of his daughter’s desire to become an artist and so Alice keeps her acceptance secret. Father and daughter don’t really seem to be able to talk at all and become increasingly estranged. Things escalate when Werner has a fling with Isabel, their Spanish housekeeper.
