Kurzfilmtage Winterthur 2023
24. October 20233 Bachelor Diplomfilme feiern WeltpremiereIm Rahmen der Kurzfilmtage Winterthur findet am 9. November der Filmschulentag statt. Drei Bachelor Diplomfilme feiern dort Weltpremiere und haben die Möglichkeit, als “bester Schweizer Schulfilm” ausgezeichnet zu werden. «A Monster called Love» von Sophia Lara Nimue Schweizer, «Nowrooz» von Reza Jafari und «Wo die wilden Bienen wohnen» von Pascal Kohler.
Zudem zeigt das Festival in der Kategorie «Züri Shorts» den Film von Urša Kastelic und Shannet Clemmings «Remember, broken crayons colour too». In der Kategorie «Sport ist Mord» wird «Kleingolf» von Marvin Meckes gezeigt.

3. October 2023WeltpremiereThe diploma film of Bachelor Film Alumna Urša Kastelic and Shannet Clemmings (Co-Director), «Remember, broken crayons colour too” celebrates its world premiere at Locarno Film Festival 2023.
The film sheds light on the story of Shannet Clemmings and her journey of healing the wounds caused by transphobia. The focus of the story is to reflect on the human condition within the context of social and economic structures.

18. August 2020The dance shortfilm «Out of Ordinary» by Luca Signoretti, Alumnius Master Dance, Choreography, and our Master Cinematography Students Alicja Pahl und Tobias Buchmann is a Student Academy Awards finalist.

«Out of Ordinary» one of four films in the category «Alternative/Experimental». The film explores what it might be like to travel through the frames and screens, that otherwise keep a voyeur and his or her fanciful ideas and longing experiences at a distance and, instead, turn them into a real-life journey.

CRU wins Student Visionary Award at Tribeca Film Festival in New York
24. January 2020Award CeremonyZHdK-Alumni David Oesch has won the Student Visionary Award with his Degree film «Cru» at the renowed Tribeca Film Festival in New York. Oeschs Thriller was one of 64 Short Films from 20 different countries and played in the category «Without Borders».
ISOLA nominated for a Swiss Film Prize
24. January 2020all nominationsISOLA, the master documentary film by Aurelio Buchwalder, got nominated for a Swiss Film Prize in the category Best Graduation Film. The Award Ceremony takes place on the 27th of March in Zurich.

21. November 2019all winners"22:47 Linie 34" by ZHdK directing student Michael Karrer was awarded "Best Swiss Film" at the 23. Kurzfilmtage Winterthur. The prize, donated by suissimage and the SSA (endowed with 10,000 Swiss francs) was presented to Karrer on Sunday, 10 November 2019, at the Theater Winterthur.

TERMINAL by Kim Allamand received two awards at Locarno Film Festival
18. August 2019The master film TERMINAL by Kim Allamand received two awards at the 72nd Locarno Film Festival in the Concorso Pardi di Domani section. He wins the Young Jury Best Pardi di Domani Swiss Film (CHF 1'500) and the Best Swiss Newcomer Award (CHF 37'000 in equipment and services, offered by Cinegrell, Visuals SA, Freestudios SA and Taurus Studio). Congrats to everyone involved.
