Lisa Gertsch was born in Bern in 1992. In 2017 she received her Bachelor of Arts in Film at the Zurich University of the Arts. She won a student Oscar in 2018 with her graduation film ALMOST EVERYTHING. In her Master of Arts in Directing Feature Film and as a member of the Zurich collective Sabotage, she recently produced her first feature-length film ELECTRIC FIELDS, scheduled for 2023. Lisa Gertsch works as a director and screenwriter in Switzerland, Germany and Italy. She is also a lecturer in screenwriting at the Zurich University of the Arts.
