Lara Jacobs was born in Cape Town and grew up in Zurich.
She took up drawing early on and frequently took part in comics competitions.
After her apprenticeship as an architectural draftswoman she worked for 10 years
in architecture offices, trying out everything from structural design to construction management. While taking acting classes she developed a strong interest in filmmaking. From 2018 to 2022 she studied film at the Zurich University of the Arts
with a personal focus on screenwriting and directing.
